People with disabilities have to be among the Members of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) of the African Union.
On this vein the CAFOD chairman, Mr ONDOUA ABAH Gabriel has been elected on the November 30, 2007 among the two (02) CSOs given to each All member.

C'est pour faire entendre leurs voix que Le Président de la FACAPH et Directeur Exécutif de l'UNAPHAC, M. ONDOUA ABAH Gabriel à pris part au 2e meeting du NEPAD CSOs Think Tank, qui a eu lieu du 1er au 3 novembre dernier en Naïrobi, au Kenya.

CAFOD is very happy to applaud the signature by Gabon of the Convention on the Rights of people with disabilities. This is one more testimony that the Gabonese Goernment is leading the promotion and the protection of Human Rights of the disabled persons in Central Africa, bravo and keep on!
Please do encourage the other African countries and abroad to do the same.
