• Reinforce the aptitudes the operational capacity and efficiency of the personal effort of disabled persons of the sub-region at all levels of the movement ;

• Promote the rights of disabled persons of the sub-region ;

• Empower disabled women in their communities and in the African disabled people Movement ;

• Reintegrate survivors of anti-personnel mines and disabled refugees of the sub-region ;

• Establish a reliable communication Network in the PAFOD Structures ;

• Promote the rights of disabled children of the sub-region.

The Central African Federation of Organisations for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Disabled (CAFOD) is a Sub-Regional Organisation grouping the following countries :

• Burundi
• Cameroon
• Central African Republic
• Chad
• Democratic Republlic of Congo
• Equatorial Guinea
• Gabon
• Republic of Congo
• Rwanda
• Sao-Tome and Principe

It is placed under the direct supervision of Disabled People's International (DPI) and the Pan-African Federation of the Disabled Persons (PAFOD)

It is a non-governmental Organisation, apolitical and non-profit making making organisation with an unlimited duration. Its goals is to promote, represent and protect the rights of Disabled Persons in all sub-regional and regional Bodies.
